Michal Bober has made his first musical steps in his hometown, Opole, conducted by teachers working for Opolskie Studio Piosenki, a place where young talented people can develop their voices. Since 2002 he has been performing with Opole Gospel Choir as well as with many other national and international formations.
Michal finished Business Language at University of Opole. During his studies he was given an opportunity to visit Russia and attend music classes at National Jazz University in Russia, improving his vocal skills. He also had a chance to perform as a guest in a TV show set in one of r’n’b clubs in Moscow.
In recent years, Bober has successfully taken part in many festivals, for instance: Gama Festival in Kolobrzeg (“Gold Ten”), or International Festival of Greek Songs in Zgorzelec.
He is also an originator of a very interesting and unusual Modern Russian Songs Concert as well as an editor of two big websites about Russia: ‘Muzyka Rosyjska’ (Russian Music), which is #1 in Polish Internet, and ‘Nowa Rosja’ (New Russia).
I want to share my passion with others. I try to present all Russian music events that take place in our country objectively and factually, he says.
At present, Michal performs with Opole Gospel Choir, FlashBACK (a quintet), and Monika Wisniowska, a singer from Wroclaw. The duet has already been appreciated at a lot of festivals.
In July 2011, Michal and Monika are going to represent Poland in Jurmala, Latvia, singing at ‘New Wave’, one of the most prestige festivals for young talents.
